About
The Bastwian Empire stretches across a chain of islands that makes up the island continent of (Add name when decided). The empire is known to the outside as a variety of terrains spanning from fruitful jungles to dangerous mountainous areas to barren wastelands unsettled and vastly unknown to the surrounding world. Much of the civilized area of the empire is located on the three smaller islands that line the western coast of the largest island. For much of the empire's history, the leaders have been unwilling or unable to explore the main island due to the dangerous terrain of the mountainous wall that lines the western half of the island. Making matters worse, the creatures that lurk in those mountains are brutal savages that, according to legend, have hunted down the few exploration teams that were sent to the island. Only in very recent years has the empire been able to establish a small settlement at the southern tip of the mountain range. Reports show that the settlement is under constant threat of attack from the savage beats in the mountains, but the beasts seldom actually stray from their mountain lairs, allowing the empire to further its reach onto the island slowly. It isn't just the mountain beasts that make the island dangerous though. There are many other threats waiting in the barren wastelands of the eastern lands of the continent.
The three western islands are each known for their own unique takes on the Bastwian culture but
