About
The Grand Zuersti Empire consists of over thirty nation-states of several different sizes and types of cultures, but all of the nation-states have two things in common. The first is their unrelenting dedication to the crown and the second is their unified effort to contribute soldiers to the Grand Army of Zuersti or sailors to the Rikestallan Armada.

Quick Reference
The Grand Zuersti Empire is the oldest empire in the world. Led by the "Old Dwarves" the empire conquered lands throughout their continent and neighboring continents. However, with time the empire's reach was severely weakened by growing forces and rising superpowers throughout the world. With their grip on the world slowly slipping and the collapse of the world economies the "Old dwarves" shifted their focus from global conquest to simply protecting their borders and planning their attacks on the enemies on their own continent.
The Grand Zuersti Empire consists of over thirty nation-states, most of which are steeped deeply in dwarven tradition, even the human settlements. The handful of settlements that are more human-centric in cultural standards are all located along the western coast of the continent. The settlements aree mostly small in size, but there is one large city named Rikestall. Rikestall is the home to one of the world's largest and most powerful naval fleets in the world. Rikestall's navy, The Rikestallan Armada, gave The Grand Zuersti Empire more than just influence in the faraway lands they invaded, they gave the empire the ownership of the three seas of the Cantonmire Ocean'; The Rikestall Sea, The Quiest Sea, and The Ironrot Sea. The Rikestallan Armada's commitment to The Dwarven Crown of Goldrhime solidified a strong relationship between the humans along the western coast and the dwarves of the empire. Something untrue of the relationship between the dwarves and the humans of the northern region of the empire. The humans that would later formulate an agreement with the noble refugees from The Ambian Empire and their connections with The Matriarch to create an uprising in the empire too strong to put down due to the empire being overstretched by their obligations across the globe.
Army/Militia
The Grand Army of Zuersti is comprised of men and women from throughout the empire. New soldiers are brought to the capitol city of Oberhaven for their training and then assigned to a nation-state other than their own in order to reinforce military-based decision-making rather than allowing soldiers to make decisions based on emotions or attachment to their homelands.
War-Related
Castle
The only castle in the entire empire is Castle Aulmstrike where "The Grand Zuerst" holds the throne.
Castle Aulmstrike is considered one of the finest architectural structures in the eastern hemisphere. The castle was built by the mountain dwarves of Goldrhime centuries ago before they withdrew to the mountains permanently per the agreement made with The Grand Zuerst that the empire would leave Goldrhime out of political affairs and never wage war against the mountain dwarves.

Fortified Buildings
There are keeps and strongholds scattered throughout the empire that house the soldiers that are assigned to strategic locations throughout the empire. Many of the locations are abandoned now that the empire is shrinking. This has left some of the settlements outside the withdrawing boundaries of the empire. Unsafe and unprotected, the disgruntled people of these settlements are looking for new hope and leadership which is coming in the form of The Cuyan Commonwealth.
